On June 8th, under the "Disruption management and increasing capacity" session, SISCOG's Innovation Department Head Ricardo Saldanha, and optimization specialist Rita Portugal, will present the paper entitled “Rescheduling rolling stock rosters as a profit optimization problem” at the flagship World Congress on Railway Research (WCRR) 2022, taking place in Birmingham from 6 - 10 June.
They will address the rescheduling of rolling stock rosters with maintenance constraints as a profit maximization problem at a North American railroad company, and explain how this approach obtained considerable revenue growths and cost savings.
The World Congress on Railway Research (WCRR) is the world’s largest international congress on railroad research, founded by SNCF (France), DB AG (Germany), Trenitalia (Italy), RTRI (Japan), RSSB (UK), MxV Rail (USA) and UIC.
